The New York City Department of Sanitation has deployed melters across Brooklyn as they work to get rid of extra snow from this week's blizzard.
In Red Hook, parts of Bay Street and Clinton Street were blocked off for hours on Thursday as workers dumped piles of snow into the melters.
Residents tell News 12 the road closures were a major inconvenience.
"There's already no parking, so they're just taking up a lot of space doing nothing," said Glen, a Red Hook resident.
These snow melters have been deployed across the five boroughs in the wake of the storm.
