Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney says nine people, six of them Long Islanders, are under arrest for an alleged crime spree that's stretched through Long Island into New York City, Westchester and Dutchess counties, and down the eastern seaboard to Florida. Tierney says the takedown comes after a list of auto body shop burglaries, multiple carjackings, including one in Deer Park, and a home invasion in North Bay Shore. News 12 is told the alleged 17-day crime spree took place from July to August of 2025. The Suffolk DA's gang task force partnered with Suffolk police, the Suffolk County sheriff, New York State Police, the NYPD, and the ATF on the takedown.
