Police are searching for three men who they say tried to steal a teenage boy's jacket at knifepoint at a McDonald's in Bensonhurst.

Officials say the men walked up to the 16-year-old inside the restaurant on Bay Parkway around 7 p.m. on Jan. 3.

Authorities say one man told the teen, “Give me your jacket,” prompting him to run outside.

The men followed the teen and tried to take his jacket, causing the teen to fall to the ground. One man displayed a knife while the others struck the teen in the face, according to police.

The trio ran from the McDonald's on to 67th Street.

Authorities say EMS took the teen to Maimonides Medical Center. He is expected to be OK.
