A bicyclist was struck and killed in a Flatlands hit-and-run, according to police.

Mamadou Diallo, 40, of Canarsie, was hit by a dark-colored BMW sedan at East 54th Street and Avenue I just before midnight Thursday. The NYPD says he was thrown off his bike and into a parked, unoccupied car.

Paramedics rushed Diallo to Brookdale Hospital, where he died.

Thursday evening's tragedy marked the third deadly hit-and-run in Brooklyn and the Bronx - over a three-day period.

Early Tuesday morning, 29-year-old Paulina Tec Choc was riding a two-wheeled vehicle in Cypress Hills when a white pickup truck hit her from behind and kept driving, the NYPD says.

Later that same day, 51-year-old Angelo Camara was riding a bicycle in Hunts Point when investigators say a BMW flew through a red light and hit him. The driver got out of the car and took off running.

All three drivers remain on the run as of Friday evening.

Transportation Alternatives hopes to shed light on the recent rise in cyclist fatalities and prevent future tragedies. The organization plans to hold what they call a "die-in" at City Hall Park on Wednesday.

Ben Furnas, executive director of Transportation Alternatives, issued the following statement on Friday afternoon:

"Three hard-working New Yorkers are dead, and three families are heartbroken with grief. It doesn't have to be this way. These three New Yorkers lost their lives because they rode a bike in a city that, despite years of steady progress, still does not ensure safe rides for them. Three preventable deaths in as many days is a stain on our city. We are asking Mayor Mamdani for a plan to stop the carnage and protect all New Yorkers from preventable crashes."
