More than 200 living historians brought the largest battle of the American Revolution to life during a special 250th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Brooklyn.
Presented by Prospect Park Alliance, the Old Stone House of Brooklyn, and the Brigade of the American Revolution, participants in period uniforms retraced the historic conflict across parts of Prospect Park and Park Slope.
The narrated reenactment depicted key moments of the 1776 battle, including the British flanking maneuver and the heroic stand of the 1st Maryland Regiment at the Old Stone House, which helped General George Washington's army escape across the East River.
Spectators were also given the chance to interact with historians portraying soldiers, civilians, and camp followers.
