Waking up to a winter wonderland across the borough with a few inches of fluffy snowfall to greet our Sunday. This is the first widespread measurable snowfall ac the region, it has been a while! In fact, since March earlier this year. Roads will be icy and slushy through mid to late morning, so please take it SLOW if you have to be outside this morning. Snow tapers off by lunchtime with sunshine breaking out this afternoon, as colder; gusty winds move in. Blowing snow and frigid wind chills will be the main concern later today, even after snowfall ends. Early this week the weather stays cold and blustery before a gradual warmup arrives mid to late week, with quieter weather returning before another potential system late in the period.
Today: Snow is likely early, ending mid-morning with an additional dusting to nearly 1 inch possible. Turning windy and colder during the afternoon, with falling temperatures into the mid-20s and blowing snow at times.
Monday: Cold and blustery with increasing clouds. Highs in the upper 20s to low 30s.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny and cold, highs in the low to mid-30s.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and milder, temperatures climbing into the upper 30s to low 40s.
Thursday: Partly sunny and noticeably warmer, with highs in the low to mid-50s. Rain becomes possible late.
Friday: Breezy but drier, highs in the mid to upper 40s.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for a rain/snow mix. Highs in the low to mid-40s.
