Police were alerted to a reported kidnapping in Hoboken on Thursday.

Upon arrival in the area, officers identified a dark-colored vehicle matching the description provided in the initial report. The vehicle was observed fleeing the scene, leading authorities to initiate a pursuit.

The chase continued across the Goethals Bridge and onto the Belt Parkway within the confines of the 60th Precinct. During the pursuit, multiple vehicle collisions were reported, involving at least one NYPD vehicle.

Officers ultimately conducted a vehicle stop, successfully bringing the pursuit to an end. The suspected kidnapper, identified as a 25-year-old individual, was apprehended and taken into custody.

Sources say five NYPD officers sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the kidnapping appears to be domestic in nature. This is a developing story.
