A 46-year-old postal worker was assaulted as he delivered mail in Crown Heights.
The incident happened near Bedford Avenue minutes after 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say the 46-year-old postal worker was delivering mail when a man approached him demanding a package in his hand.
The man then slashed the postal worker in the face with an unknown item before fleeing into a nearby building.
Police sources say they are looking for a man wearing a grey hooded shirt and black vest.
The 48-year-old man was transported by EMS to Methodist hospital.
There are no arrests.
