A dog is recovering after it was shot in Greenwood, police say.
It happened around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in front of 218 31st St.
Police say a gunman opened fire toward another person and struck the 7-year-old female dog instead.
The dog was taken to a nearby animal hospital, where it was listed in stable condition, according to authorities.
Police released footage of the suspected gunman, who they say took off running southbound on 5th Avenue toward 36th Street after the shooting.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, camouflage pants, a black hat and multicolored sneakers.
