Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people who they say carjacked a taxi driver early Saturday morning in Canarsie.
Investigators say the trio wearing black clothing and ski masks approached taxi driver just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue M and East 180th Street.
They displayed a knife and a gun before demanding that the victim exit the vehicle. The victim complied, and the group took off with the car.
Police later found the vehicle at an undisclosed location. It contained keys and a cellphone.
Police urge anyone with additional information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
