Police say a 30-year-old woman was injured during a shooting in Downtown Brooklyn.
Officers responded to 445 Albee Square West just after 2 p.m. Monday.
The woman was struck in the lower leg, according to authorities, just outside of the Primark store, on a busy street, as crowds were packed in the park during the day.
EMS took her to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she is expected to recover.
Residents who live nearby say the street was especially crowded due to the nice weather, and say they are horrified of a gun being fired with so many people around.
"I live right above the Primark- I'm honestly, like, flabbergasted. I think, especially like teenagers having access to guns is really concerning," said resident Alycia.
Police say a search is still underway for a suspect who fled the scene.
