Two food trucks parked on the same East Williamsburg street were hit just minutes apart in what investigators say was a targeted theft. Police say the back-to-back break-ins happened around 7 a.m. on May 2 outside 599 Johnson Ave. According to investigators, two people first broke into a food truck called Mi Amor Halal Grill and stole a generator worth about $2,500 along with a cooler filled with cans of soda. About 10 minutes later, police say the same group struck another nearby food truck called S&M Food Industry. This time, another generator worth about $2,500 was taken through an open window. Investigators say the stolen items were loaded into a white Dodge pickup truck before the group drove away. Newly released surveillance images show two people investigators are trying to identify. One appears to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt while the other is seen in a green long-sleeved shirt.
