Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two people responsible for a violent robbery at a Brownsville deli on July 28.
Investigators say the 50-year-old victim was inside the building on East New York Avenue when the pair approached him. They began to punch and kick him, causing a laceration on his face.
He dropped his cellphone on the floor during the attack, which one of the suspects stole before fleeing. Police say they left the deli westbound on Pacific Street.
EMS responded and took the victim to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
