A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot while sitting in his car in East Flatbush early Monday, police said. The shooting happened around 3:20 a.m. outside 980 Rutland Road. Police said the man was shot once on the left side of his head. Paramedics took him to Brookdale Hospital. The street was still blocked off later in the morning as investigators worked at the scene. An officer at the scene said investigators found eight shell casings. A police source said they are looking into a gray, four-door sedan seen heading east on Rutland Road. Police have not released a description of the person who fired the shots.
