A 26-year-old man died and a 28-year-old was injured early Sunday morning in Bushwick, according to investigators.

Detectives say the assault took place at 1071 Broadway around 1:45 a.m.

Police say Amare Simmons, of Manhattan, was stabbed.

The 28-year-old man suffered a slash wound to his arm.

Both men were taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where Simmons was pronounced dead.

The 28-year-old is expected to recover.

Police say a knife was recovered at the scene and two persons of interest were taken into custody.
