Drab and dismal conditions through the rest of the week; sun returns by the weekend

Another upper-level low storm is set to spiral more clouds and showers through the area for the rest of the week.
I want to point out that the bulk of the rain arrives during the nighttime hours. After midnight tonight, our first burst of moderately intense rain will fall.
Brace for some weather-related delays Wednesday morning. It will be mainly cloudy and raw for the remainder of Wednesday. A passing sprinkle is likely, but the majority of the rain tomorrow happens just before daybreak.
Clouds, fog and drizzle stick around Wednesday night into Thursday. The winds are still onshore, so temperatures will be no better than the mid- to upper 60s at the shore and the low 70s in western New Jersey.
It appears to get a bit warmer on Friday and Saturday. There is also a small window of sunshine. This is what we call instability sunshine. If you see sun, Friday and Saturday, your neighborhood has a better chance of seeing a pop-up thunderstorm.
The second half of the weekend looks fantastic. Nothing but sun and afternoon temperatures reaching for the mid- to upper 70s. A real pleasant end to a miserable meteorological stretch of weather.
