The city has announced that the location for the largest FIFA World Cup watch party will be in Central Park.
Mayor Zohran and Mamdani and Gov. Kathy Hochul say that the event will take place on the iconic park’s Great Lawn. Starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, 50,000 tickets will be available for free. Those interested will
need to register for the lottery. The mayor also says that 20% of the tickets will be set aside for local non-profits and city service volunteers.
The event will also include live entertainment and food.
The lottery is open until July 16.
