Police say a Canarsie man is accused of attacking another man with a milk crate at the Queens Plaza subway station in Long Island City.

Khemon Shaw, 46, was taken into custody Monday for allegedly assaulting the 27-year-old on Jan. 28.

Authorities say the victim was approached from behind just before 7:30 p.m. and struck across the face with the crate, causing a laceration to his eye.

EMS took the victim to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police say he is expected to recover.

Shaw faces an assault charge.
