Fourteen people were taken into custody Wednesday after an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement demonstration disrupted traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge, according to the NYPD.
Police responded around 12:34 p.m. to reports of a large group of approximately 30 protesters on the outbound side of the bridge.
According to the NYPD, the group was blocking both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Police say the demonstrators were taken into custody without incident.
It is unclear what their charges are at this time.
The NYPD confirms the protesters were part of an anti-ICE group.
Traffic flow has since resumed on the bridge.
