Two teenage girls were injured during a shooting in front of a McDonald's in Coney Island, authorities say.
Gunfire erupted at 1403 Mermaid Ave. just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, striking the girls, aged 14 and 16.
Police say the 14-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to her left foot, while the 16-year-old was struck in her upper right leg.
EMS took the teens to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, where they are expected to recover.
